About Simon Deane

I am a highly motivated, trustworthy and versatile individual with 20 years managerial and team leadership experience. Prior to my new career as a Site Engineer I was a Health and Safety Advisor with Interserve and Babcock and before that I finished in the Army as a Staff sergeant with 24 years’ experience varying from Tank Commander to Airport Liaison officer to training cadets and Mess manager. Recently I moved from, the world of health and Safety into Project Engineering. My first project involved a more project management aspect as I ran the project dealing with the day to day running of a medium size project. A successful and profitable completion of the project leads me to Scotland and onto bigger and more complex projects as a site engineer. I was previously the QSHE advisor for Interserve on a high profile OHL in the North of Wales. I am a very versatile and able to apply myself to all situations I have been set with success. I am quick to learn and resolve issues, able to communicate at all levels as well as demonstrate effective leadership and management. Excellent at interacting and providing information, advice and guidance on legal, client and Company requirements and the associated implications for different business areas such as design, supply chain, procurement and operations. I use a positive approach to organisational change. Work that I have done on previous projects have reached the finalists for the IOSH training initiative of the year award 2012.
