About Simon Erdile

Since graduating from the State University of New York, University at Albany, in 2013, I have shown a dedication to meeting the needs of the public by providing accountable, high-quality service and being key to efficient public programs. My educational background is in political science and economics and my areas of interest are in government and political affairs, current events, economics, business, budgets and finance, and electoral politics. My experience in state politics makes me a valuable asset to professionals at any level of government as well as the private sector. The skills I bring with me reflect my strong and diverse background in writing and editing, communications, legislative research and analysis, supervision of personnel, and organizing events. I am also an author published by the New York State Assembly's Internship Program. Having served as both a Quality Control and a Linking Administrator in the health insurance industry, I offer the flexibility, accuracy, precision, and ethical standards needed to operate in a customer service-centered, high-productivity private-sector environment. My August 2016 certification to translate user-submitted documents and applications from Spanish into English demonstrates one way that I meet the needs of a wide range of potential consumers. At State Farm and the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, I broadened my understanding of customer service, legal protocols, and public and private sector programs aimed at mitigating harm to policyholders and beneficiaries. At the New York State Department of Health, I continue to show an unwavering commitment and ability to work in multiple environments on many different projects at once, at a fast pace, and meet deadlines.
