Simon Kwadjo Essuman is an Operations Lead at Amgen, a global biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and sells human therapeutics to treat serious illnesses. He began his journey in the Pharmaceutical Industry at Ipsen in March 2021 as a Manufacturing Technologist, and quickly advanced to the roles of Senior Manufacturing Technologist and Process Lead within the Downstream Department, demonstrating his technical skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Science from Dublin City University, where he was a former elite scholarship student for Track and Field, and represented Ireland on an international stage. He is also certified in Technical Writing Skills, SAP Solution Manager, Freeze-Drying Lyophilisation and has completed a SQT Level 7 Green Belt for introducing a 4 day working week cycle to Downstream Manufacturing in Ipsen. He has extensive laboratory skills and expertise in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Batch Records, which enables him to ensure the quality, compliance, and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
