About Simon Evans

With over 22 years of experience in the sustainable energy industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the operational and strategic drivers for both public and private sectors. I am passionate about delivering innovative and low-carbon solutions for housing and mixed-use developments, and creating smart local energy systems that benefit communities and the environment. As the Director of Operations Smart Homes at Larkfleet Group, I am responsible for developing the Larkfleet / Phoenix smart homes and neighbourhoods concept and business strategy, working closely with technology providers and energy partners. In my current role, I leverage my skills in process improvement, partnership development, and project management to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of various energy technologies, such as solar PV, heating systems, insulation, and lighting. I also manage and nurture client relationships with local authorities, housing providers, licensed energy companies, and other public sector and commercial clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. I have recently taken 61MW of large scale battery storage through the planning system to approval. Additionally, I serve as a Non-Executive Director at Energy Local, a social enterprise that enables communities to benefit from local renewable energy sources.
