About Simon Geiger

I am a business development manager and project engineer with a technical background in mechanical engineering with focus on energy and process technologies. I gained working experience in different countries all over the world at STEAG Energy Services GmbH. As a project engineer in the field of system technologies, I am involved in the optimization of energy systems. Using a combination of Advanced Process Control (APC), intelligent data processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has proven very well for Waste incineration plants and cement works with the plant components mills, kilns, coolers and SNCR. In addition, I gain experience in the field of project management. After 2 years working in different projects in several countries (e.g. China, Turkey, Poland, Denmark, Germany) as a project engineer I made a personal step forward with becoming a business development manager. Main focuses of this activity are now the Turkish Cement Market and the Waste Incineration Plant market. In my many years working as a student trainee and project engineer at STEAG Energy Services GmbH, I was able to prove and further develop my strengths in analytical thinking and my ability to communicate in self-dependent tasks as well as in teamwork. This is how I gained experience in both engineering and sales projects in the sales area. Our guiding principle at STEAG Energy Services GmbH, Energy Technologies is to help power and cement plant owners, operators and asset managers in improving yields, managing process variability, forecasting maintenance needs and increasing revenue through the use of Digital IT Solutions loaded with decades of domain knowledge and engineering excellence.
