About Simon Herd

With more than 25 years of experience in the education sector, I am the Executive Principal at Hunter Christian School and the Managing Director of a consultancy firm that specializes in leadership and organizational development. I hold a Doctor of Strategic Leadership with High Distinction from Liberty University, where I gained valuable insights and skills in leadership and business management. My core competencies include curriculum innovation, teacher mentoring, adult education, and social and behavioral research. I am passionate about developing and empowering educators and learners to achieve their full potential and to serve their communities with integrity and compassion. As the Deputy Chair at the Australian Association of Christian Schools, I also advocate for the values and interests of Christian education in the national and international arenas. I have received multiple honors and awards for my positive impact and contribution to the education sector, such as the Young Alumni of the Year, the Newcastle City Young Citizen of the Year, and the Positive Teacher of the Year Award. I have also had the opportunity to present keynote lectures at international conferences in the USA, Singapore, China, Vanuatu and Australia.
