Experienced University classroom and on-line instructor. I teach upper level under graduate and graduate courses in the History of Medicine and Arkansas History as well as the United States History and World Civilization survey classes. Able to effectively develop and deliver instructional material utilizing primary and secondary sources to engage the student in active research. Created Virtual online course work and classroom for Arkansas History in Second Life. A course delivery platform for remote students to attend lectures and field trips. Worked with Arkansas State University's CDI team using their guidelines to deliver this solution. Practiced in conducting socio-economic and cultural historical research. Ability to utilize oral interview and correspondence methodology to produce interpretive and quantifiable reports in a time sensitive manner. Well versed in repository and archival research. By combining my academic and commercial experience I am sensitive to the particular requirements of individual projects. Specialties: My research specialism is Delta (particularly the East Arkansas, West Tennessee and North West Mississippi) hospital and health care. Expert Witness for the Defense in a capital murder case, Maricopa County, Arizona. Presented research papers about the history of Health Care in the Arkansas Delta. Lectures to various academic and civic groups about the history of West Memphis and its place in the Arkansas Delta.
