About Simon Jay

Simon has had the opportunity to perform at a high level across most facets of pharmaceutical marketing & sales for two decades. Simon began his career in Montreal as the second employee of the Merck Vaccine Division when he joined as a summer intern where he was involved in the founding strategy and planning of that division. The following year, he returned to Merck. He has brought that same innovative spirit throughout his career in which he has held positions ranging from Product Manager to various directorial positions, both within pharma as well as on the supplier side. Simon's career includes a tour as the director of marketing for Canada's leading direct marketer to the health care sector where he oversaw the conception and development of Canada's first electronic drug sampling system. Simon also served a term on the board of directors of the Canadian Association of Healthcare Reimbursement where he co-founded Market Access 101, a training program for those new to the area. Simon has experience with a wide variety of therapeutic categories including: immunology and infectious disease, gastroenterology, hepatology, anaesthesia, cardiology, psychiatry, respiratory, rheumatology, hormone replacement therapy and medical devices and diagnostic agents. Simon’s education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in economics and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario which he had the opportunity to complete at the Stockholm School of Economics.
