What if the fight for clean air isn't just about filters and flow rates, but about social justice? For millions in substandard housing, for children with chronic asthma, for workers in poor environments and for anyone with a compromised immune system, the air inside our buildings can be a fundamental barrier to a healthy life. This is an injustice we have the tools to fix. I believe we already possess the knowledge to make our buildings healthier for everyone. My work is dedicated to closing the gap between what we know and what we do. As the built environment's Air Quality Translator, I bridge the worlds of complex science, nuanced policy, and lived human experience. Through the "Air Quality Matters" podcast and my consultancy, I make this vital information accessible and actionable for the leaders, practitioners, and advocates who can drive meaningful change. My focus is on translating the technical details of air quality, ventilation, retrofit strategy, mould remediation, and performance monitoring into clear strategies that create safer, more resilient, and more equitable indoor environments.
