About Simon Jones

Simon Jones is a results-driven senior executive accomplished in project execution excellence. With his hands on approach in managing architectural and multidisciplinary engineering teams, he effectively delivers all aspects of project execution from design to build. He has held national leadership engineering positions in both public and private sector organizations during his 24 year career, including Industry Canada, John Reid and Son’s, J+B Engineering, and blueprint2build. Active involvement in regulatory standards and protocols for the Canadian marketplace has been a top priority for Simon throughout his career. Simon continues to volunteer his expertise as a technical consultant representing private industry on the Underwrites’ Laboratories of Canada (ULc) committee for flammable and combustible liquids. Simon is also an internal auditor for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). Past advisory activity includes; consultant for the Technical Safety Standards Association (TSSA), volunteer at Ontario Petroleum Contractors Association (OPCA), and the representative for Canada at NIST, OIML, and NCWM conferences and in programs. Simon is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and Alberta. He holds the designation as a Consulting Engineer and his company blueprint2build has a Certificate of Authorization (CofA) in the province of Ontario. Simon earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University. He has complimented his engineering degree with various technical and business continuing education courses from the University of Toronto and the International School of Hydrocarbon - Oklahoma University.
