About Simon King

Simon P. King, MedVision’s CEO and founder, is a visionary entrepreneur with proven ability to create new technologies and business models in the telehealth market. He has 22 years of experience in video communications management and product development, with 18 years dedicated to telehealth. Mr. King holds 3 patents critical to the advancement of telehealth King founded Video Communications Corp (VCC) in 1997 as a video conferencing technology service provider and channel partner. VCC’s unique product offering attracted major pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing companies, to include, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Wyeth, Pfizer, etc. From 1993 to 1997 King was employed by VueCom, where conceptualized, developed and managed a team, to take to market a business concept utilizing a video communication network to provide residential real estate services the “Real Estate Videoconferencing Network” (REVNET). This attracted participation from multiple national lenders and real estate companies, to include 2,500 real estate offices. In 1996, J. P Morgan Chase & CO. provided a market valuation of VueCom in the amount of 65MM, which was based entirely on the REVNET business unit. King is sits on the Maryland Telemedicine Task Force, which has been a major contributor in drafting legislation to advance the adoption of telehealth in the state. He is an Advisory Board Member for Barry University. He works extensively with Humanitarian Groups, supporting telehealth initiatives to improve care, prevent disease, promote wellness, and respond to disasters around the world.
