About Simon Luck

Simon is leading Anduril's C2 System's expansion in the UK and rest of Europe, to accelerate defence transformation in autonomy and command and control. He is passionate about using the latest in software development, artificial intelligence and manufacturing techniques to bring affordable mass to defence customers in the UK and Europe, coupled with the intelligent command and control of first and third-party assets from Lattice for C2. Simon was previously the Government Engineering Lead for Microsoft and supported the design and delivery of Microsoft Azure to meet the needs of the UK Government across defence and security customers and partners. His understanding of the requirements to operate in these environments is helped to shape how customers used Azure's huge breadth of offerings across AI and Cognitive Services, Analytics, Edge and visualisation and interaction with Azure HoloLens. Simon is drawing upon his previous experience of leading scientists, technologists, engineers, developers and architects across Mission Systems, Human Factors, Cyber Security and Information Systems to ensure that Azure Engineering can be exploited at the pace required by his customers by the skills of capable engineers and developers. Simon, a Fellow of the IET, is an experienced, confident and professional leader in technology. His passion for the exploitation of technology, such as machine learning or augmented reality, to support human operations has led to real advances in the areas of Defence and Security. Simon brings his experience of agile delivery to defence market, ensuring that customers benefit from well-managed programs from a partner that really cares about the outcome. Simon's previous roles allowed him to take particular interest in leading cyber-based projects across the defence and security domains, specialising in cyber threat and intelligence analytics and CEMA mission planning solutions. He was also responsible for the management of Innovation and R&D activities, running research programmes across autonomous systems, machine learning, data analytics, next-generation document management, immersive VR/AR systems and cyber threat analysis.
