A values-driven leader with a proven track record of driving successful business transformation, performance turnaround, capital raising and infrastructure development programs for diverse entities most recently within the Banking and Financial Services sector. Simon began his career at Porter Western Limited as a stockbroker in 1994. He was a Director and shareholder of Porter Western when the business was sold to Macquarie Bank in With the business under new ownership Simon was appointed as the State Manager for Macquarie Bank in Perth. He was promoted to Division Director for Macquarie and transferred to a national role as Head of Broking (Distribution and Development), largely based out of Sydney. In 2005 Simon became the Head of Macquarie Private Wealth - Asia and spent several years working across Asia and in India establishing or acquiring wealth management businesses for Macquarie Bank. Since leaving Macquarie Simon has established and managed new wealth management businesses offering stockbroking and fixed income investments (bonds and term deposits) to high net worth investors, family offices and institutional clients. Simon became the CEO of the ASX listed company Goldfields Money Limited in January 2016. The company changed its name in March 2019 and is now BNK Bank (ASX:BBC). During his 4 1/2 years tenure as CEO & Managing Director Simon transformed capability and performance for BNK Bank, achieving revenue growth ($3.64M in 2015 to $38.3M in 2019) and 30% YoY increase in profitability. via both organic growth and acquisitions. Simon now consults to business leaders to help them deal with the challenges that face fast growing businesses. He also has a variety of private board appointments.
