About Simon Maberley
Simon Maberley is a South Coast NSW based sculptor and glass artist. He began his studies at Sydney College of the Arts in 1993 and graduated in 1996. He completed his MFA at Ohio State University in and returned to live and work in Australia. He exhibits regularly both in Australia and the US, and is represented in public, corporate and private collections. He has travelled widely in the US, United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand and Japan, working, studying and collaborating with a number of well-respected artists.Simon has taught and participated in workshops and residencies at Sydney College of the Arts (University of Sydney), Canberra Glassworks, ANU School of Art, Ohio State University, Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts USA and Northlands Creative Glass Centre in the UK. As well as producing his own artwork, Simon works as a freelance artist for other professional artists and designers. Simon is committed to advocacy and support for arts workers and professionals, having served on the boards of several organisations and institutions.
