About Simon McBeth

I am a motivated, outcome focused leader with over 20 years experience in the marine, fisheries and coastal resource management space. Currently a project manager in the maritime and coastal resource management sector, I have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Through my role as Port Manager and as a Project Manager for Better Boating Victoria, I have extensive experience in all stages of project management and delivery, ranging from project inception and concept design stage, through to construction. I have extensive experience in all aspects of project management and delivery, including funding and project advocacy, procurement, public and stakeholder consultation and statutory approvals. I have a degree in Natural Resources Management (Marine Science) and a sound understanding of fisheries and marine science. As a results orientated achiever with strong problem solving skills, I develop excellent working relationships by building trust through delivery and understanding the perspectives of others. I have developed strong leadership and communication skills through professional experience and community involvement, and I remain committed to personal learning.
