About Simon Molden

I am a Director at The Sports Consultancy. A selection of my recent commissions include delivering the feasibility study and bid support for the 2019 Solheim Cup (for Scotland), 2015 & 2017 World Athletics Championships (at the Olympic Stadium); 2014 & 2016 European Swimming Championships (at the Olympic Aquatic Centre); the feasibility study for the redevelopment of Meadowbank Stadium and Sports Centre in Edinburgh; and the Southwark Leisure Management Contract procurement. Between July 2003 and February 2005, I worked on secondment at Elmbridge Borough Council, project managing the Elmbridge Xcel Centre leisure In 2004, I spent three months on secondment in Barbados as Cricket and Facilities Manager for World Cup Barbados’ 2007 Cricket World Cup Bid submission. The project involved the co-ordination of over 250 local volunteers in the preparation of Barbados’ bid to stage games at the 2007 Cricket World Cup and succeeded in securing the Final and a Super 8 (second round) group for the island.
