About Simon Murray

With over 20 years in the UK water industry and smarter water metering, I consider myself to be an expert operationally and in business transformation. Applying this insight within Wheatley makes it possible to identify and develop new opportunities that benefit existing as well as new customers. We provide solutions to problems and bring efficiencies to all aspects of meter utility work, including, but not limited to, assets, workforce, logistics, customer appointments, regulation and compliance. Through our software we deliver industry compliance, best practice security, sustainability, governance controls, visibility for decisions, repeatability and measurable efficiencies. We place equal importance on all technical skills and collectively view analysis, development, testing, infrastructure maintenance, data management, security, deployment and customer support as engineering roles. I have championed a portfolio of environmental solutions to help water companies communicate what they are doing to alleviate tough environmental challenges as well as encouraging others to act. As a company, delivering on Environmental, Social, and Governance is important to us and Wheatley do this through considered change, consciously making choices and taking actions that have a positive impact on societies and the environment. ESG will never be just a tick in the box, it is integrated within all that we do and I feel privileged to have this responsibility as a significant part of my role.
