About Simon Parkinson

A Creative Director with 20+ years of international experience in design. I began my career working as an Art Director and Designer for leading design studios in London with clients in music, art, film and fashion. In 2004, I relocated to the UAE to create and lead the design team within Saatchi & Saatchi. Then in 2008 I eagerly moved to Brand Union where I progressed from Design Director to Executive Creative Director for the Middle East. After 10 successful years and having reached the pinnacle, engaging clients throughout the region across all key industries, I decided to move to an independent agency in order to enhance my managerial skillset and help grow a creative business from the ground up. I work as a creative thinker and designer, using my skills to deeply understand clients needs, inspire and build relationships, lead creative and design teams, and work with other industry experts to define, position, and create brands. My creativity has been recognised through numerous significant awards including D & AD and Dubai Lynx, and my opinions featured and quoted in the regional design press. I have an active role participating in the wider design community through my role on the Advisory Board at AUD of which I take immense pride, mentoring and guiding students as they enter the industry. My work has been showcased at the Venice Biennale, representing the UK in collaboration with the photographer and artist Nick Waplington.
