NAVLAP NIST 150-17 accredited SME for 17ESV (Entropy Source Validation for SP 800-90B Entropy) and 17ACVT (Automated Cryptographic Validation Testing) Has led several complex multi-million-dollar security and applied cryptography projects. My background in applying cryptography in both the hardware and software domains enables a deep understanding of the intricate security technology and how to modernize the security of existing devices and solutions as they are re-designed. Proven track record of creating and turning innovative ideas, concepts, and designs into patentable and marketable products, all built on the belief that only solid teamwork and peer review will lead to world-class security products. I have managed medium sized development and test teams of more than 20 people in various security sub-systems and components in software and hardware domains. I also have experience in developing Smart Cards, Embedded Software, as well as ASIC and FPGA (using VHDL) solutions. I have designed symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic solutions using modern algorithms and protocols. I was involved in the DVB2 Transport Layer standardization of conditional access and transport layer encryption. I was one of the team that defined the block cipher and Reverse Cipher Block Chaining to help protect known plain texts in the header blocks of higher level packets as they were broken into fragments for transmission by the transport layer.
