About Simon Robinson

Over 30 years of business management ranging from catering and hospitality to property development has given me a broad range of professional experience in diverse areas such as human resources management, capital raising, finance, investment and design and construction. Ten years running a successful catering business in Sydney developed the skills to move into hospitality with the multi-award winning Red Belly Black cafes and Observatory Function Center in Canberra. When the majority of the business was lost in the 2003 Canberra bushfires, my business partner and myself were able to turn misfortune into opportunity by identifying the potential of the Niseko-Hirafu ski resort as a world class destination. Now after 18 years establishing the company, H2 Group, is the leading development and management company in Niseko. I am seeking to build on the strong foundation here and ensure that Niseko fulfills it's potential as a long term, sustainable and desirable lifestyle destination. Specialties: Specific areas of strength are sales and marketing, finance, and joint venture structures.
