About Simon Salem

I want to take a little time to tell you all a bit about myself, my background, and my journey towards where I am today. I will start with the present. I have been a Child Development/Early Childhood Education faculty member since the Fall of 2014. I started teaching at Ventura College, followed by Moorpark College and for the last few years I have made Oxnard College my home away from home. I have also been the Child Development Center Supervisor for the Oxnard College child development center. In September of 2021 I began working as a Director for the Child Development Laboratory School in Alvin, Texas. I ended up quitting and moving back to California in June of 2022 as my family and I decided not to move. I currently serve as Director of Operations for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Ventura where I serve as a guide, mentor and supporter of our Branch Directors for each of our sites. This is but a summary of my experiences from a young child to college student, a father, husband and early education professional who currently supports other educators. Please feel free to utilize my experiences so that I may educate and support you in any way that I can.
