I am Executive Chairman of AEC Group Pty Ltd and was previously CEO of the company for 16 years. I commenced my career in the late 1980s at the Centre for Applied Economic Research and Analysis (CAERA) at James Cook University followed by five years at Queensland Treasury. In late 1995, I established the Brisbane office of Australian Economic Consultants Pty Ltd and in May became a founding Director and CEO of AEC Group. I hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Economics with first class Honours and an MBA. I am a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and a professional member of the Economic Society of Australia. I have also been President of the University of Queensland School of Economics Alumni Association.
