About Simon Templer Kodiaga

Mr. Kodiaga has over 10 years of experience in communications, journalism and media which including project management, public participation, public relations, development and implementation of organizational communication strategy, media relations and liaison, editing and events management following his extensive work with FIDA Kenya, the European Union, EMC Consultants, BBC World Service/Media Action, Water Sector Trust Fund, Contact Network International, Afrobarometer and currently as Communication and Advocacy Officer at Africa Population & Health Research Centre (APHRC). He possesses excellent programme management, report writing, research and training skills and has been engaged in extensively in performing these core duties as a result of his day to day assignments with European Union, EMC Consultants, and previously with Water Sector Trust Fund, The BBC World Service. He also has an excellent understanding on handling the various new digital media platforms including Website, Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn and Instagram among as well as designing and production of publicity materials including brochures, fliers, newsletters, photography and video editing. Kodiaga is also versed in undertaking customer care, public participation and stakeholder dialogue/community involvement due to his continuous engagement with diverse sections of the public across the country on diverse social-economic and political themes and use of participatory educational theatre where probing and drawing stories and reflections from the public on topical issues or current concerns is mandatory. Mr. Kodiaga has strong facilitation skills and is able to assist multi-party groups to pool their diverse views into collective wisdom and consensus. He possesses a good understanding on the Radio and TV broadcasting background in Kenya as a result of having conducted his work with the BBC World Service, Contact Network International, Corporate Communication Officer with Water Sector Trust Fund, EMC Consultants, the European Union, FIDA Kenya, Afrobarometer and APHRC.
