Professional Indemnity Insurance The focus of my practice is Professional indemnity work. Initially I undertook defendant insurance work for Solicitors Indemnity Fund Limited, to include work on the Bristol & West lender litigation and subsequently in the Halifax managed cases. I have since worked for a variety of clients (acting for both claimant but mainly defendant) in relation to professional indemnity claims, with particular emphasis on claims against solicitors, accountants, surveyors, architects, valuers, insurance brokers, and estate agents. I have also acted on claims to the pensions ombudsman and FOS. I have undertaken three secondments within the PI Claims teams at Liberty, Travelers, PartnerRe and most recently Nexus Claims. General insurance I have regularly advised upon other a wide variety of insurance-related issues including policy coverage matters (non-disclosure / notification / dishonesty), water damage, theft and property damage claims and obtaining evidence for use in overseas jurisdictions. I have also undertaken subrogated recovery work on behalf of a leading market insurer. I regularly deliver training sessions on a variety of insurance-related topics and contribute articles to my firm's external publications / newsletters.
