About Simon Walker

As an engineer driven by the sustainable development of our egoloical, economical and last but not least social environment I strongly believe that in our interconnected and ever-changing world this can only be achieved by taking responsibility and working together: Exchanging ideas and knowledge while listening to each other as well as understanding each others values, cultures and history lies at the core of this thinking. Being raised in a bilingual family and educated in the humanistic ways, I carry the values that the amazing union of people we call EU was founded on at heart and don't take for granted. For that, I want to work towards a world that embraces and promotes those values. My path of sustainable engineering dates back more than 10 years ago in which I gained valuable experience in my profession in Germany as well as abroad. During those years I have worked with people from all over the globe on various projects, may it be in a start-up to work on new water treatment concepts or multi-national cooperations that change existing industries from within. My professional focus lies in water (treatment) and renewable energy engineering and as such I'm more than curious about the development and implementation of new solutions and technologies to help us tackle the problems we see ourselves confronted by these days, especially climate change.
