About Simon Westray

I am a Chartered Surveyor with over 15 years experience in land acquisition and residential development. I am passionate about the residential development sector and the many ways it adapts to the every changing needs of society. I also love the many characters and fun that is had within this crazy sector! In 2020, having worked for several leading residential developers throughout my career, l founded the property development company SageHaus. SageHaus was set up to bring a fresh approach to how and where retirement living communities are delivered in the UK. SageHaus acquires rural land and then delivers retirement villages comprising of highly sustainable modular single level homes throughout the UK. Our core focus is not just on creating high quality adaptable homes for later living but also environmentally conscious and supportive communities. All our homes are built off site out of sustainable timber and are powered by renewable energy where is possible. Unlike traditional housing which is typically obtrusive to the countryside our homes, at only 3.5 m high, are low density so have minimal impact. We have two schemes of over 10 acres in the planning process and are always on the lookout for more. Our focus is on edge of town locations in rural settings.
