About Simon Widmer

I am contributing to a regenerative, life-friendly, caring world. My passions are in the space of design, strategy and the circular economy. I believe that we have the precious ability to intentionally co-create the reality around us, that we can shape it for all life to thrive and that circular design can be one valuable tool on this journey. In a narrow sense, it helps us to redesign products and services. It inspires us to re-imagine how we meet needs of customers and stakeholders decoupled from the linear material flows and product sales. It gives us a vision of an economic and societal model that can thrive long-term. In a broader sense, it is a way of seeing and shaping nutritious flows of atoms, information, energy with intention for the thriving of all life. Some thoughts on this on simon-widmer.comCurrently, I am working part-time at ecos to build allyCE.ch - your ally for the circular economy. It's a platform for knowledge transfer and innovation across companies in Switzerland, and part-time as an independent advisor and co-creator. https://simon-widmer.com/portfolioMy recent work for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation includes co-creating the Circular Design Programme, the Circular Design Guide and the New Plastics Economy initiative.I am most often found exploring, deep in nature or both. Always up for a cup of Oolong tea and discussing ideas for beautiful life-friendly possibilities.
