About Simon Wilson

I am the Managing Director of BBH Legal Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thompsons solicitors, providing private client services in property, wills, probate and court of protection services. I am also an owner and partner in Thompsons solicitors. I am responsible for all risk and compliance issues, and act as complaints officer dealing with all regulatory bodies such as the SRA and LeO. I also act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer, devising and implementing all AML and GDPR policies. Previously I was a Partner and owner of Morrish Solicitors acting on behalf of a number of national Trades Unions and was also previously the National Practice Lead for Serious Injury claims for Thompsons solicitors. Throughout my early career I was a litigation lawyer with a particular interest in acting exclusively for claimants who have suffered serious and catastrophic injuries. My particular specialism in acting for clients who have suffered significant brain injuries led to developing my specialist knowledge in Court of Protection law. As a result I now act as National Head of the Court of Protection and Deputyship team, and personally act as deputy for up to 100 victims of brain injury who are unable to manage their own affairs, and their families. Previously I have also acted as Treasurer for Headway (the brain injury charity), and as regional co-ordinator of APIL. I remain a specialist assessor for Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury accreditation and I frequently lecture on litigation and deputyship law. I also coach rugby and football for local youth teams.
