About Simon X King

About I am a seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience in K–12 education, nonprofit youth development, and educational consulting—combined with 12 years of military leadership as a U.S. Army Reserves officer. Currently, I serve as Area Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, where I oversee multi-site Club operations, coach and support Branch Directors, build staff leadership pipelines, and drive regional strategies that impact hundreds of youth across Prince George’s and Prince William Counties. I lead with purpose and accountability, bringing expertise in organizational culture, staff development, operational systems, stakeholder engagement, and program quality. My leadership approach is grounded in integrity, equity, and service, shaped by faith, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to empowering others. I also serve in an unofficial HR liaison role, guiding Club teams through sensitive issues related to staffing, VDOE compliance, and caregiver concerns. Whether navigating crisis, scaling impact, or cultivating future leaders, I strive to build environments where youth and adults alike can thrive. dr.simonxking@gmail.com
