About Simona Cionca

Experienced Biomedical Scientist and Genetic Counselor with over ten years of expertise in cytogenetics and molecular genetics. I bring five years of team leadership experience and more than seven years of teaching and supervisory practice in clinical and academic settings. Currently working as a Genetic Counselor and Scientific Advisor in Reproductive Health, specializing in genetic testing and fertility. I hold a Master’s Degree in Genetic Counselling and a Master’s Degree in Theology with a concentration in Pastoral Care, combining scientific knowledge with empathetic communication. For the past two years, I have also served as a Lecturer at a University of Applied Sciences, teaching scientific writing, guiding students in thesis development, and providing structured feedback on research progress. My professional background includes diverse roles in the healthcare system—from caregiving and administrative duties to direct patient interactions. In addition, I bring over 20 years of volunteer service in church and community outreach programs. With rich international experience across both personal and professional domains, I am passionate about culturally sensitive care and effective communication in diverse settings.
