About Simona Nemets

With over 15 years of experience as an algorithm engineer, I have a passion for designing and developing innovative solutions for autonomous systems. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and 15 years of total experience in industry with 5 years of experience in developing autonomous systems. At Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, I led the design, development, and implementation of a SLAM algorithm for a system with sparse sensors, as well as the algorithm architecture and concept evaluation. I also designed algorithms for control and directing line-of-sight in an electro-optical high-end system, and performed system integration, performance evaluation, and design reviews. I have advanced knowledge and skills in robotics, signal processing, C++, C, MATLAB, and Python, and some experience in software design, control systems, image processing, and computer vision. I am always eager to learn new things and share my knowledge with others.
