About Simona Spelman

As Deloitte’s US Human Capital Leader, I lead 9k human capital professionals in helping our clients confidently navigate disruptions related to the way we work. Over my 20 years in consulting, including now as a principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP, I've led numerous large-scale teams in various enabling functions and systems. I've collaborated closely with our biggest accounts on IT transformations, shared service delivery, and program management. Previously, I served as both Deloitte’s US and Global Human Capital as a Service Leader. I firmly believe in enhancing the workplace for people, and, in turn, helping people become their best for their work. These days, much of my focus is on how we are helping our clients navigate the rapid advancements in AI and how human and digital workforces can work together seamlessly. I'm deeply passionate about creating high-performing teams and empowering those around me to discover their path forward. ​ While we continually advise our clients on bridging the gap between technology and the workforce, our Human Capital practice also emphasizes enduring human capabilities like curiosity, empathy, and imagination. At Deloitte, we're harnessing the power of our collective humanity to help reshape the future of work. Part of my journey is rooted in my Sicilian heritage. When I was 10 years old, my family immigrated from Sicily to the US, driven by the desire for a better education. I am grateful every day to be living the American Dream. Outside of work, I love running, fashion, cooking and eating - I am Sicilian after all! I also love spending time with my husband, two daughters, and friends, especially traveling and visiting new places. ​
