About Simone Caimi

As architectural designer with several years of experience that ranges from conceptual design to construction documents and site supervision, I worked in several architectural firms with different specializations. All this allowed me to achieve a complete variety of professional skills. I started with interior design gaining in this field a profound experience that allows me to handle the matter without any particular anxieties or fears. In the 2006 I began further experience in the field of housing and healthcare/hospital buildings. This experience provided me a large technical knowledge in addition to a rooted experience with parametric softwares. I had worked as BIM Technician until 2013 when I was contacted by Lissoni Associati because they needed a BIM Coordinator to manage their pilot architectural BIM project. The project regarded a sqm resort in the Emirate of Ajman in the UAE and involved a total of 17 buildings, each with its own Revit file and all linked together through a shared coordinate system. It was a great success and we fully achieved the quality goals that we had set. Over the same period I have played a key role in the success of many other projects, all of which have served to further develop my skills and broaden my experience. I have defined template file, standards, workflows, BIM execution plans and best practices, all of which were updated on a daily basis by myself. I routinely provided one-to-one tutoring and BIM software technical support for project teams, along with mentoring on software applications and best practices workflows. Since December 2017 I've been leading the BIM implementation process as BIM Manager at PARK Associati. I am a firm believer in ongoing training. I am a Fire Prevention professional and am Autodesk Revit 2015 certified. I am familiar with the most important standards and international guidelines.
