About Simone Cameron

I’m an elementary school teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds and creating meaningful, lasting impacts in the classroom. I currently teach third grade in the San Juan Unified School District, where I strive to build a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment every day.My teaching journey began after graduating from Saint Francis High School with a teaching scholarship—an early affirmation of my calling to work with children. I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in English from California State University, Sacramento, followed by a Master’s in Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. I later cleared my credential through the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD).Before my current role, I taught in the Sacramento Catholic Diocese, gaining valuable experience across nearly every elementary and middle school grade—from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. This wide-ranging experience has shaped me into a flexible and empathetic educator who understands the developmental journey of students at every stage.I believe the best teachers are the ones students remember—not just for what they were taught, but for how they felt while being taught. I aspire to be that teacher: one who supports, inspires, and makes a difference in more ways than one.
