About Simone Colombo

My name is Simone Colombo, I’m a Msc Eng. in Tlc Engineering, graduated in 2005. I worked within the Research & Development function in the mobile field at Nokia Siemens Network. Also I deepened my knowledge on networking at Fastweb spa within the data center field and core backbone, where I became the leader of the IP\MPLS Core IP Group. In 2010 I started a postgraduate course in Cloud Network Engineering at the Elis Centre in Rome participating at the implementation of the mobile service in Fasteweb as Full-Mobile Virtual Network Operator. member and MEF-CECP certified \ MEF active member from 2013, I'm contributing the development of new IP Services standard. IETF member from 2016, engaged in Segment Routing and Traffic Engineering Working Groups From 2012 Network Engineer in SIAE Microelettronica, developing LTE Backhaul Networks - Recently I am following the IoT KNX Association, where I obtained the KNX Engineer certification. In addition, I deal with design, plan and survey of WiFi infrastructures (802.11ac, 802.11ax) with Ekahau and Tamos products for Enterprise solutions. Involved in developing SD-WAN solution such as WAN architecture that allows enterprises to leverage any combination of transport services – including MPLS, LTE and broadband internet services – to securely connect users to applications.
