About Simone Desborough

Design and marketing professional based in Newquay, Cornwall, with over 10 years of experience in graphic design and brand development. My background spans in-house and freelance roles across fashion, retail, and travel industries. My passion lies in bringing creative campaigns to life from concept right through to execution across a variety of touchpoints, in order to drive brand awareness and create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences. Currently, I lead the creative and marketing direction at Ann’s Cottage, rolling out a more cohesive brand identity across all platforms; website, email, paid ads, socials, store windows and POS. As brand guardian, I oversee all creative output, manage a small, talented marketing team, and work closely with business owners and external brand partners to bring campaigns to life. From planning and creative directing photoshoots and refining our brand voice to executing marketing initiatives, I ensure everything aligns seamlessly. Alongside this, I launched and successfully ran my own sustainable clothing brand for 2 years, donating 10% of sales to ocean charities; I hope to relaunch again this year.
