About Simone Hoyle

With more than 20 years board level experience, I have held roles as Chair, Co-Chair, Non Executive Director and Director in operations, manufacturing, retailing, multi-unit franchising, supply chain and logistics, IT, risk management, ESG and governance in high growth and mature environments. I have a strong strategic, business and financial acumen with extensive knowledge and experience domestically and across Asia, Australia & New Zealand, Middle East and African markets. A proven track record for accelerating sustained and profitable business growth and results, creating turnaround strategies for underperforming businesses, enterprise risk management, information technology and digital transformations, diversity and inclusion programs, leading culture change and organisational restructuring. At board level, highlights include longer term accelerated growth planning, technology and digital transformation planning, complex sale across 4 international markets, development and oversight of financial and non-financial governance in emerging markets. I was also a member of the Harvard University Kennedy School Global Woman’s Leadership Board for 10 years where I developed and implemented plans and key initiatives to increase the diversity and inclusion of ‘C suite’ executives in Asian markets. In an executive capacity, I have worked in global and regional leadership roles across a range of retail and logistics industries for more than 30 years. I have worked for global brands such as McDonald’s Corporation and Unilever, including Streets Ice Cream and Flora Foods. I was formally the Head of Asia Business Unit. Here I have held multiple board and committee roles including being responsible for more than $USD 4 billion in revenue, delivering double-digit revenue growth and operating income along with significant increases in margins and market share. Previously, I was Chief Restaurant and Supply Chain Officer for 38 markets across Asia, Pacific, Middle East & Africa with more than restaurants and suppliers. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Food and Technology) from the UNSW, a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive Leadership Program, graduate of Global Leadership Development Program with INSEAD, member of Australian Institute of Food Science & Technology and Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
