About Simone Mancani

Every since I was a kid, engineering has been my passion. I still remember the time I spent opening everything I could, just to understand how they worked. This passion drove me through my education, first with the choice of studying at Liceo Galileo Galilei, in particular to enroll for National Informatics Plan, and then with the decision of pursuing studies at Università di Catania in Electronical Engineering. My Bachelor’s thesis project was a serious turning point for me. In fact, this gave to me the opportunity to interface with Neural Network world and to test me in a professional context of a design studio, through the realization of automated system for surveying stake-line distance. Currently, I work as Automation junior Designer at Systemia S.r.l, where I have the chance to improve myself learning new things and putting into practice what I have learned; this experience brought me, so far, to learn to program different PLC brand like Siemens or Schneider in order to apply control logics into several environments, from HVAC to water supply management, and to improve my skills with CAD software. At the same time I'm continuing my course of study with Master’s Degree in Electronical Engineering. Always busy, always hungry.
