I am a passionate data scientist and a dedicated researcher in the fascinating field of edge AI! My academic journey led me to earn a Ph.D. in gravitational-wave astrophysics, where I actively contributed to groundbreaking discoveries as a member of the LIGO collaboration (fascinated by the cosmos and eating time-series for breakfast? My goal is to help businesses to make informed decisions, optimize machinery performance, and minimize downtime. Working with data from various industries, from paper production to pharmaceuticals and energy sectors, I rarely get bored! But my journey doesn't end there. My passion for research continues as I contribute to projects at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the CNR in Pisa. My current focus revolves around AI for edge devices, where I explore and implement pruning strategies to enhance the efficiency of existing models to enable deployment even on low-resource devices. My enthusiasm for data science and research is fueled by a genuine desire to create a positive impact on industries and society at large. I thrive in collaborative environments that allow me to leverage my expertise and skills to overcome challenges and unlock new possibilities.
