About Simone Orio

Following the achievement of the master's degree with honours in Management Engineering (POLITECNICO DI MILANO), from 2009 to 2019 I have worked for Eldor Corporation S.p.A, an Italian multinational company operating successfully in the automotive sector. During these years I have been involved in various activities in the finance sector working in Controlling and Business development departments at local and group level. The most important experience I have had has been in the period between 2012 and 2016 when I have been in charge to manage the finance department (6 people) of the Chinese subsidiary. This assignment, especially in the company start-up phase, required frequent trips to China and allowed me to integrate technical knowledge with human and social skills. In March 2019 I joined Elemaster as Group Controller (managing 2 people) with responsibility to follow controlling operations in all group companies (China, India, USA, Germany, Romania, Belgium, Italy). After few months, in December 2019, I chose to move to a different company, Agrati group, going back to the automotive sector. Until April 2021 I have worked as Corporate controller (managing 2 people) and I had been in charge to manage all controlling activities in the 4 plants belonging to the headquarters. In April 2021 I moved to a different position in the same group: I’m actually responsible for Europe Regional controlling (4 companies in Italy and France with 10 production plants) and Group Controlling (Europe Area + China + USA). More ten 10 years in automotive sector dynamism let me develop flexibility, problem solving aptitude and interpersonal expertise with multiple stakeholders at all levels. I think today, after these experiences, to be a dynamic and proactive person with the ability to blend easily in a team. When I'm not working I like travelling around the world (last trips I had were Tibet in 2016, Colombia in 2017, Patagonia and Eastern Island in 2018) doing sports (skiing, running, basketball) and hanging out with my friends.
