About Simone Paul

My career can be separated in two parts: one as a professional in product management and marketing of a range of pharmaceutical products, and my current career in learning technology. From my earlier role I bring a profound understanding of business requirements, project management, communication and coordination. In my current role my team and I are facilitators for business functions that want to make use of the learning management system and/or the authoring tool to create and distribute trainings. I am dedicated to supporting our internal customers and to helping them to reach their educational targets. After my studies of Nutrition Science and Economics, I started my career in sales. In 1990 I joined Fresenius Kabi and held various positions in national and international product management and marketing. My focus was for more than 20 years on the segment of parenteral nutrition products which are pharmaceuticals. Since 2007 I have been leading teams and dealt with a broad variety of projects. Working with a dedicated team and successfully managing challenging tasks gave me and the team a lot of satisfaction and turned out to be the basis for friendships. In January 2013 I shifted my focus on training activities and created together with my team training materials, organised international high-level training events and implemented a collaboration with ESPEN for the organisation of educational events for medical professionals. This was when I first came accross e-learning as an efficient mean to distribute training contents to various audiences. In October 2014, I was given the opportunity to take over the position of the team manager in a freshly established department providing e-learning services to Fresenius Medical Care and Fresenius Kabi. Until end of 2019, the team grew to 18 collaborators, bussy with managing the increasing number of requests to create training modules and rollout various types of learning formats via the learning management system. In January 2020, a part of the team joined together with me Fresenius Kabi to continue with our earlier tasks with a focus on the organisation of Fresenius Kabi. Since, we managed to organise ourselves again as an efficient and collaborative team.
