About Simone Saini

Simone is a fourth-year Integrated Engineering at the University of British Columbia specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with a passion for aviation and aerospace systems. As a member of UBC AeroDesign, Simone develops and applies her skills in mechanical design, modeling, and manufacturing for RC aircraft systems. She has experience with software such as SolidWorks and MATLAB, as well as C/C++ programming. She is also an active volunteer for the organization French for the Future, allowing her to share her experiences with French language learning, as well as advocate for bilingualism across Canada. Simone is currently completing a 16-month work term at StandardAero, one of the world’s leading Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers in the Aerospace and Defense industry. She is gaining valuable experience in rotorcraft maintenance and modification, while applying her technical skills in a professional setting. As an aspiring aerospace engineer, Simone is eager to connect with industry professionals to help further develop her skills and knowledge in aircraft and rotorcraft systems and technologies.
