About Simone Sfriso

Born in London UK in 1966, awarded Master Degree 110/110 summa cum laude in Architecture at the University of Architecture of Venice IUAV. From 2019 to 2020 He has been visiting professor at ENSTP Yaoundé Cameroon and at UTPL Loja - Ecuador. In 2019 He has been appointed Italian Design Ambassador by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2020 He joined the University of Portsmouth - UK as Visiting Professor and in 2023 the New York Institute of Technology as Guest Professor. He is co-founder of TAMassociati, a team of architects and researchers, whose building solutions worldwide improve lives, strengthen communities and provide creative responses to climate change: combining high quality with affordability. TAMassociati provides consultancy services that range from masterplan design to construction details, with a long-standing expertise in environmentally and socially sustainable architecture. TAMassociati is specialized in designing for social impact, global health and international cooperation; participatory design is at the forefront of every project. TAMassociati has won widespread recognition and numerous awards including- Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2013- Ius- Capocchin prize 2013- Curry Stone Design Prize 2013- Zumtobel Group Award 2014- Italian Architect of the year Award 2014- Lafarge-Holcim Acknowledgement Award 2017- Energy Globe Award 2019- Biennale di Architettura di Pisa Award 2023. TAM has curated the Italian Pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2016.
