About Simone Tomada

MSc in Software Systems Design and Development from Udine. My toolkit includes everything from PyTorch for GNNs to Django for backend, driven by a passion for quality and innovation in software and beyond. Passionate about technology since a young age, I chose computer science for my bachelor's degree to pursue my desire to build software. During those years, I explored diverse fields within the subject, enriching my knowledge and skills far beyond my initial goal of simply being a programmer. Notably, my bachelor's journey culminated in achieving my initial ambition: contributing to the development of a video game, more particularly a serous game, during my undergraduate internship project. For my Master's degree, I chose Computer Science again, this time specializing in 'Software Systems Design and Development' – aligning with my original objective as the focus of my advanced studies. This program has been fundamental in shaping the professional I am now. During these years, I transitioned from a technically-oriented individual to a well-versed and all-around profile by exploring and deeply engaging with quality software, studying design patterns, testing methodologies, and quality metrics, as well as development processes and how to integrate quality into them. I also gained practical experience in the business aspects of software, learning how software is also a matter of contracts, value proposition, and fulfilling needs. Furthermore, I explored state-of-the-art technologies like AI, gaining practical experience with Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). To complete the package, the knowledge acquired was not only theoretical but also, and mainly, practical, with numerous projects designed to develop tangible skills in many of the studied subjects. Now, I am looking forward to applying my knowledge and acting as a key pivot point between business stakeholders and technical teams.
