About Simone Tordoni

I was born June 17th, 1976 in Montefalco a small town in the center of Italy, I got married in the 2008, I have a son and outside work I try playing and coaching soccer in the local soccer team. Montefalco is the city of the Sagrantino wines and maybe this developed my passion for the good food and wines! I hold a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Electronic Eng, graduated in the 2003. I started to work in the 2004 in SPES as a Board Failure Analyst Eng in the Electronic Quality team. I have been working in Indesit for more than 10 years, at the beginning as a contractor and since 2006, when I moved to electronic hardware, as an power boards Designer. Within the next years I was taking over more responsibilities (PM, Technical Leader, etc). In 2011 I took the role of HW Design Manager driving a Team of HW, Layout and DFM Designers, Electronic Cost Estimation and Configurations Lead, Component Eng cross Platform delivering for Indesit, Ariston, Hotpoint and Scholtes. Since July 2015 after Whirlpool acquired Indesit I took the position of Execution integration Lead driving a Team to define, standardize and spread architecture and Global Design Module usage. From November 2015 to July 2017 I took the position of the Global Component Eng Team, managing people in 4 different Countries both for technical and for commercial aspects, defining and deploying cross Platforms the components strategies. Since July 2017 I assumed the Lead of the electronic validation and certification of the appliances cross category delivering for Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Amana, Bauknecht, Brastemp, Indesit, Hotpoint. I enjoy working with the Teams and to establish collaborative relationships with people. Be passionate, results oriented and attitude to solve the problem complete my profile. In the last years I improved a lot about lean thinking, I’m convinced that applying day by day this approach, it might help each of us in the continuous improvement! Servant Leader is my style.
