About Simone Vitale

After soul-searching through two years as a psychology and criminology major at the University of Maryland, I spent a semester working with the Washington DC Police Foundation. I interacted with kids who live within a 10-minute walk of the National Monuments but had never seen them because it was unsafe to leave their block. That experience reignited my passion for helping these communities proactively, not reactively. Landscape Architecture is the perfect marriage of my talents, purpose, and personality. It combines my love of the outdoors, with my eye for design and an undeniable draw to impart beauty. With each new project, I am presented a chance to better the world around me, to have a meaningful impact on how people see and interact with their communities. Whether it’s small scale restoration, or entire masterplans, I have a knack for taking disparate ideas and intangible dreams and rendering them into aesthetic, purposeful, and actionable final designs that make communities proud and inspire the people in those communities to come together. Specialties: artfully portraying ideas through on the spot sketching, creating innovative urban design that serves and unites communities, promoting design that sustains our environment and uniquely meets the needs of every demographic
