About Simone Weidenbach

Since returning to work in 2008 I have studied Financial Accounting, Leadership and Management, and begun my professional studies. After securing roles in mid-sized chartered firms, I honed my skills, focusing on attention to detail and rules and regulations associated with taxation and finance. A role at Newslimited developed my skills in coordinating, time managment and communication, where the position required a start to finish production of the Real Estate advertising for 3 weekly papers. A return to small Chartered Firm developed my taxation knowledge by working on tax returns, share portfolio, Financial EOM, AP and AR. A Commercial AP role at Abi Group Contractors (now owned Lendlease PL), allowed me take Accounts to the next levels from Senior AP Officer to Team leader during my 2 years. I was there for the transition of accounts payable to Jobpac and the hand over to the Adelaide Team prior to the establishment of Worldwide Head Office in Sydney the following year. My experience includes but is not limited to high value payment runs and cashflow forecasting, staff recruitment, time management, introduction of initiatives such as restructuring and changing focus of staff to acheive greater efficiency, as well as development of better inter-team relationships for a positive work environment. Over the last 5 years I have worked in on 2 transitional finance project enviroments within multinational, goverment section and one growing Australian Icon. I am highly motivated, driven and skilled. My desire to continually improve myself both personally and professionally, provides a rewarding life. My current aim is to create a dynamic, even paced and enjoyable work environment. With the side benefit of positive, timely and productive outcomes for organisation. This year I am looking forward to continuing my Finance studies once I settle into this new role.
