About Simrah Ali

If you can't find a seat at the table, then pull up a chair" Throughout my life, I've always had an immigrant mentality, which is to work hard, and persevere no matter what the challenge ahead is. That mentality has led me to pursue things I would never have dreamed of - whether it was moving halfway across the world to pursue an education in Toronto despite cultural norms, or having the courage to speak up (literally) when I was a first-time intern and moderate a panel in front of 400+ individuals on diversity and inclusion, or landing my dream first job at Shopify - I'm a hard-working opportunist who will always find a way to "pull up a chair" no matter what the goal is. In my free time, I love to travel (trying to hit 30 countries by 30 - ask me about my last trip!), spend time with my husband and our fat cat (he's 14 pounds), or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I'm always open to new opportunities, whether in sales, enablement or leadership - no matter what challenge you have for me, I'm sure I'll figure it out.
