About Simran Bhui

My work is grounded in the belief that great learning starts with a good question — and a willingness to follow wherever it takes. For almost a decade, I have been driven by a deep curiosity about how we learn and how thoughtful, well-crafted experiences can bring out the best in individuals, teams, and organisations alike. At Player 1 Labs, I design learning experiences that support the skills, mindsets, and behaviours that organisations most value today. Our clients span industries and cultures — Nike, IBM, Disney, and Boston Scientific — which means that no two projects are ever the same. Whether it’s a leadership off-site, a change-management training, or an educational onboarding, each engagement brings with it a fresh opportunity to meet people where they are and give them the tools they need to thrive at work. In my previous role at Mentora, I co-led the development of LiFT, a GenAI-powered performance coaching app that offers real-time and hyper-personalised guidance in high-stakes moments. LiFT helps leaders navigate challenges with more clarity and confidence, and gave me a glimpse into how emerging technologies, when used deliberately, can humanise rather than standardise the learning experience. I’m also an author and storyteller, and my work is an attempt at growth and discovery (with a little bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure). My latest book, A Trickster’s Guide, is an open-work — i.e, a book that remains incomplete till the reader steps in and completes it. It was inspired by the programs I created as founder of The Purple House, a space for creative and mindful learning.
