About Simran Kathuria

Expertise in Communication and Content Creation with a stronghold on Social Impact issues across Europe. I started my career as a journalism intern in 2017 with the Indian National Publication- The Times of India. Since then have worked across regions including- India, Europe, Middle East covering issues on migration, immigration, poverty, environment. I created content for publications and engaged in managing team events. Gained immense experience in dealing with varied stakeholders and curating content, articles, and presentations for audiences across the Globe. Came to Dublin in 2022, to pursue my M.A. in Journalism and International Relations. Worked on Human Rights projects/stories with CNN International throughout, then continued as a freelance journalist in Dublin. Later got an opportunity to work on the Gaza Campaign with Amnesty International learning about migrant issues across Europe and the Middle East, and gaining a deep understanding of the GDPR system. My most prized asset is my professional proficiency in four languages- English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. This skill has helped me in catering to a larger chunk of audiences and expand the scope on projects I work on. I am an enthusiastic person and a go-getter by nature, and happy to take on new challenges. I look forward to achieving laurels in the Communications field.
